Roxy and Dan Let Me Take Their Picture AGAIN!

Here it is folks, the Roxy and Dan Engagement shoot, Parts I AND II.  I really had a fantastic time shooting these guys.  And of course after all that stress from the anticipation of rain fall, we had nothing but sunshine on both days. 

I mean, what else can I say about them?  Aside from how awesome I think they are!  Well, as a side note I'll mention that Dan wasn't exactly all about getting his picture taken.  And I have to say I don't blame him.  It's hard to feel comfortable in such scenarios, but of course they both did great together without even knowing it.  Because THAT'S what happens when you're in love with someone.  And strangely enough I think because of an extreme effort to not look silly or awkward, they were just cracking each other up the whole time, which made for ever better pictures.

I loved being in Brooklyn.  I love this couple.  I love the laughter.  I can definitely sleep better at night knowing they are together.

Roxy & Dan Sneak Peek

The lovely and exquisite Roxy, contacted me in early January to do engagement photos of her and her husband to be, Dan.  We set the date for this past weekend, April 2nd.  But due to some last minute craziness with my schedule, and a forecast that called for snow and rain, we decided to reschedule for April 9th or 10th.  And OF COURSE as Saturday grew nearer and nearer, the forecast got better and better, and I began to kick my self harder and harder, especially when next weekends forecast got rainier and rainier.  Ugh!

So I asked if Roxy would be so kind as to split their engagement shoot into two sessions, so that after my thing on Saturday we could all meet in DUMBO and take advantage of what was bound to be an amazing sunset.  It was TOTALLY worth it!!!

Here's a little taste of what we did.  I am uber excited to shoot these guys again this upcoming weekend!!  Thanks to both of you for being so flexible!

Denise Reed & Mike Moon Engagement

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting Denise and Mike and shooting their engagement session.  It was the first day of Spring, and man did we luck out!! Because it actually felt like it!

Taking pictures is actually a very intimate process, so it can be a little nerve wracking knowing you're about to have to photograph, not one, but two people you've never met before.  Even though Denise is from New Jersey, she and Mike live in Maryland now.  So all of our interaction was via email up until the day of the shoot.

Well anyway, point is, there was nothing to be worried about.  They were both so personable, and surprisingly comfortable in front of the camera.  They followed direction better than a lot of professional models I've been on shoots with.  They were just so natural.  Oh AND I can't leave out a mention of Lily, Chloe, and Dewey, their canines.  They were just the SWEETEST!!

Once again, I got to photograph a couple that was so in love, which makes me so super happy.  And what stood out about this couple was how comfortable and at ease they were with other.  I mean just look at this first set of three images, how cute are they?!?!
