Hi I'm Alexandra. My husband Michael and I live in the West Village on the island of Manhattan in a teeny little studio apartment with our canines Lena and Loki.
We met on the set of a photo shoot. And we are blessed to be one of those couples that actually thrives from working together.
We are best friends, and it is nothing less than bliss to be able to play integral rolls in supporting one and others dreams.
Even though we are both photographers, we are two very different types of photographers. You'll know exactly what I mean if you check him out at www.mesekephotography.com. It's so great that we both have very different but great approaches to our work, and we are constantly influencing each other.
I do not believe that ones career is the be all end all of life. Without family and friends and we are nothing. Yes, of course we need a career to provide for ourselves and our families, and that is exactly why I feel so blessed to have chosen this career path. I get to spend my days documenting the love and support and companionship that I see in the world.
For me it's not just about making great pictures for my subjects, it's about the time I spend with them, getting to know them, learning their story, and getting a new one on one experience with the super positive energy that exudes from a love relationship, friendship, or family while I photograph them.
